FAQ- Waxing

  • HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY WAX?

For the best results, gently exfoliate the area a day or two before your appointment to help prevent ingrown hairs. On the day of your wax, come with clean skin free of lotions or oils. We also recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing so your skin can breathe afterward.

  • HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR NEED TO BE?

For waxing, hair should be at least ¼ inch long, about the size of a grain of rice. This length allows the wax to grip properly and ensures a smoother, longer-lasting result. If the hair is shorter, it may not be removed effectively, so it’s best to let it grow out a bit before your appointment.

  • IF I HAVE A HEMORRHOID CAN I STILL GET WAXED?

Having a hemorrhoid is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about, it is so incredibly common. A lot of times people wonder if the butt strip is still possible when getting a brazilian wax and the answer is yes! We will get as close as we can to ensure you are leaving BARE smooth all over!

  • CAN I GET WAXED WHILE PREGNANT?

Yes! You can most definitely get waxed while you’re pregnant. However, you may experience more skin sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through. Our Waxperts will make sure you are as comfortable as possible during the service.

  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?

    -Facial areas every 2-4 weeks

    -Underarms every 2-3 weeks

    -Bikini/Brazilian every 4 weeks

-All other body areas every 4-6 weeks

*Everyone is different, we will recommend when to book next during your first visit.

  • CAN I WAX/ VAJACIAL DURING MY TIME OF THE MONTH?

Yes, this is more common than you think. Please be advised that during a wax service you will be a little more sensitive than normal. If you do decide to come in, we ask that you have a tampon or menstrual cup in during your service.

  • MY CHILD WANTS TO START WAXING, WHEN CAN I BRING THEM IN?

Waxing can be started whenever the child and parent feel comfortable. Parent/Guardian consent is required for any and all waxing for those that are 17 and younger. Parent/Guardian must be present for the first visit but does not need to be in the room while service(s) are being performed.

FAQ- Laser

  • Is laser hair removal safe for melanated skin?

Yes. We use advanced technology that is safe and effective for all skin tones, including melanated skin. Treatments are customized to your skin and hair type to ensure the best results.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Most clients see significant results after 6 to 8 sessions, although the exact number varies depending on your hair type, growth cycle, and the area being treated.

  • Does laser hair removal hurt?

Discomfort is minimal. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snap or warm tingling, and our advanced equipment helps keep treatments as comfortable as possible.

  • How should I prepare for my laser appointment?

Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session and avoid waxing, tweezing, or sun exposure for at least two weeks prior.

  • Can I get laser hair removal if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

For safety reasons, we do NOT recommend laser treatments during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • What areas of the body can be treated?

We can treat almost any area with unwanted hair, including the face, areola, underarms, arms, legs, bikini line, chest, and back.

  • Does Laser Hair Removal hurt?

The feelings depends on your pain tolerance but most say its relatively painless! People will compare it to the feeling of a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Our laser hair removal machines send a quick spurt of cryogen to rapidly cool the skin before each zap causing a cooling and numbing sensation before the laser beam.

  • Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

The reduction you receive is permanent, but it is impossible to achieve 100% removal of every single follicle in a given area. Over the course of treatment your hair and the amount of it that you have will change dramatically – and we mean dramatically. What starts off as rough, coarse and thick hair will eventually become soft, thin and light hair. You will have areas where the hair has completely disappeared and some areas with sporadic light hairs remain. These hairs will be picked up on your subsequent touch up treatments.

Touch up treatments are recommended to keep these finer hairs away and are typically needed a few times a year.

  • How long does the laser hair removal procedure take?

Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time. The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in 5 minutes, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to 30 mins.
